How is Spider Analyzer priced?

On the volume of traffic it captures, not on CPU cores or seats. You commit to an annual terabyte pool and the per-terabyte rate falls as the pool grows: EUR 100 per TB for the first 100 TB, EUR 80 up to 500 TB, EUR 60 up to 1,000 TB and EUR 50 up to 2,500 TB. Each rate applies only to the terabytes inside its own band. Pools above 2,500 TB are quoted directly.

Is there a free version of Spider Analyzer?

Yes, and it carries the full capability set: HTTP, TCP, PostgreSQL, Redis, gRPC and Kafka decode, TLS decryption, binary transcoding, the multi-protocol correlated timeline and keyed PCAP-NG export, on top of the full analysis and reporting UI, sensitive-data filtering and removal, and API, CLI and service-account access. Correlation works with no configuration: a fresh install links chains on W3C traceparent, x-request-id and x-correlation-id across HTTP, gRPC, Kafka and PostgreSQL out of the box. BASIC is bounded by captured volume rather than by features: 1 TB per calendar month, with a 7-day default retention.

What happens when BASIC reaches its 1 TB monthly ceiling?

You get a warning at 80% and 90% of the ceiling. At 100%, capture pauses until the calendar month resets, which happens automatically with no action needed. Everything already captured stays fully searchable the whole time. Upgrading to TEAM or ENTERPRISE removes the ceiling entirely.

What do TEAM and ENTERPRISE cost?

TEAM starts at EUR 1,000 a year and takes 25% off every rate in the volume ladder. ENTERPRISE starts at EUR 3,000 a year on the full published ladder and adds multi-team tenancy, SSO via OIDC or LDAP, user administration, public links and the usage-statistics dashboard. Both are self-serve from the Portal.

What happens if I capture more than my committed pool?

You are billed for the excess rather than cut off. Overage is charged per terabyte above the pool: EUR 120 per TB on ENTERPRISE and EUR 90 per TB on TEAM. Overage is deliberately priced above the ladder, so committing to the volume you actually expect is always cheaper than running over.

Can I pay monthly instead of annually?

Yes. The commitment itself is annual, but you can pay it in twelve monthly instalments with a 10% financing charge applied to the base commitment. That charge never applies to overage.
